Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see a shipping rate associated with the product I'm purchasing?
Products that qualify for standard shipping options will be populated by FedEx on our website. However, if the weight of the product requires freight shipping the amount will not be populated at the time of purchase because freight shipping requires us to get an exact quote. After your purchase Guist Gallery will contact you with the freight shipping cost and you may pay directly at that time. For this reason, please make sure your contact information is accurate so we may contact you by email or by phone.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, the Giust Gallery ships internationally. Shipping options can be found in the checkout process. PLEASE NOTE: International shipments may be subject to shipping surcharges. All duties and taxes are the responsibility of the buyer.
PayPal International Shipping estimates may not be 100% accurate. Please contact us at email@example.com for an accurate estimate.
Can your casts go on display outdoors?
Although plaster is not suitable for outdoor use, some of the pieces in our Catalog can be cast in an alternative material, which can be for outdoor display. Please email or call us if you would like specific information on a particular piece.
What finish is recommended for casts that will be used for artist’s study?
We recommend a flat white finish for this purpose.
Are there school discounts?
Yes, there is a 10% discount with your provided school tax ID#.*
Do you sell “seconds” or damaged casts?
Yes.* Selection is of course limited to what is on hand and usually only for walk-in purchases. These are usually discounted 10%-15% depending on the cast. There is also a 10% discount for unfinished pieces (not painted).*
Do you have a printed catalog?
Our entire catalog is online, we do not have an up to date printed catalog.
How much does domestic shipping cost?
For domestic orders we ship FedEx Ground. Shipping costs are determined by weight, size and distance. For smaller pieces such as #155 Female Hand costs run about $12-$15. For a medium size pieces such as #119 Head of Homer may cost anywhere from $20-$30 on average. Larger pieces such as #063 Venus De Medici may costs anywhere from $50-$70. One thing to keep in mind is that smaller pieces than can fit into a single box do save shipping costs as opposed to purchasing them in separate orders.
What if a cast were to get damaged in shipment?
Although we ship our casts with a great care, on the extremely rare occasion one was to arrive damaged we would provide a replacement upon return of the damaged cast and issue a claim to FedEx. They will usually come to examine the damage and packaging.
Do you accept returns?
Our return policy is 30 days. Upon return of the cast in good condition, we will grant a refund less a 15% restocking fee.
From what molds do you cast your plasters?
We use silicon rubber molds that have been made from P.P. Caproni models or an early copy.
Can we come visit your Gallery?
