Patina Options and Material Information
Each and every piece is custom finished. A slight variation in color from order to order is to be expected.
Most reproductions are hand-cast in Gypsum reinforced with polymer, glass fiber, burlap and/or metal rods for extra strength.

This piece is a reduction of the famous Venus de' Medici which stands at about 60 inches tall. Venus de' Medici is a Hellenistic marble copy of a bronze original. It entered the Medici collection sometime before 1638 when an anthology noted its presence in the collection. It was revered in both Rome and once it was situated in Florence; those on the Grand Tour made a point to see it in the Tribuna of the Uffizi Gallery. It has been reproduced in many different sizes and materials for centuries.
