Musee des Beaux-Arts de Lyon Sculpture Reproductions
The Musee des Beaux-Arts de Lyon is one of the largest art galleries in France. The museum is housed in the former Royal Abbey of the Ladies of Saint Peter built in the 17th century. In 1792 during the French revolution the nuns were forced to leave and the building was used to house works of art for the state. In 1803 the building housed a single room museum including many other establishments including the Fine Arts School, Library, Stock Exchange and the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.
